Snorkel between two continents at the Silfra Fissure in Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stay warm as you explore this magical underwater glacial world with a high-quality dry suit. Upon arrival, learn a bit about the fissure with your guide and get set up with all the required snorkeling gear. Explore the valley where the tectonic plates of North America and Europe drift further apart every year, located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Þingvellir National Park. Swim through the filtered crystal-clear glacial meltwater with your guide. Admire the vibrant colors and keep your eyes peeled for local plant species and marine life like the dwarf char. Marvel at the vibrant colors of the glacier meltwater as you swim between two continents. • You must be physically fit to take part
• You must be comfortable in the water and able to swim
• You must be able to communicate in English
• You must weigh between 45 kilograms (99 pounds) and 120 kilograms (264 pounds)
• You must be at least 145 centimeters and no more than 200 centimeters tall
• Be prepared to wear a sometimes tight and constricting dry suit
• You will need to get medical clearance from a doctor in order to participate if you are 60 years old or over (max age to take part in this tour is 69)
