Begin your tour at Riga Central Market, the largest market in Europe, where you will sample Latvian snacks and drinks while learning about local history. Next, explore the Old Town and visit key landmarks including the House of the Blackheads, St. Peter's Church, Dome Cathedral, City Wall, Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers House, and the historical Balzams store, known for Latvian national drinks. You can purchase drinks here at your own expense.
The tour also covers the Freedom Monument and the barricades area where Latvians confronted Soviet forces in 1991 to restore independence. You will also receive guidance on places to experience authentic Latvian food and culture, such as the Ala Folk Club, which offers traditional cuisine and folk music.
