About a 50-minute drive from Riga, the tour begins with a 5 km walk through forest trails and the famous 3.7 km wooden boardwalk traversing the bog. A shorter route is available but does not include access to the viewing platform, which offers optimal sunrise views.
The viewing platform provides an opportunity to enjoy warm tea and a light homemade breakfast as the sun rises over the wetlands, illuminating the misty landscape.
