Description
Experience the Great Ķemeri Bog with a refreshing 2-hour, 5-kilometer guided walk along a sturdy wooden boardwalk within Ķemeri National Park. Covering over 6,000 hectares, Ķemeri Great Bog is one of Latvia’s largest raised bogs and a habitat of European importance.
Enjoy the unique scenery of untouched raised bog habitats, which changes with the seasons—from vibrant spring blooms to serene winter landscapes. Your experienced guide combines informative facts with an engaging outdoor experience.
After the walk, you can visit the natural Ķemeri swamp forests before returning to your hotel or heading to Jūrmala town, if you choose the optional extension. Learn about Latvian nature, culture, and traditions through our local guide and the interactive improv-travel approach.
Optional: A sunrise tour with early departure is available; exact departure time will be confirmed by your guide. You can also opt for a one-hour visit to Jūrmala town on the way back, where you can explore the white sandy beach and historic wooden architecture alongside modern villas. Bring swimming gear to enjoy a swim in the Gulf of Riga during warmer months.
