The tour covers the changing landscapes across seasons, from spring blooms to autumn colors and winter calm. After the morning hike, continue exploring the Slokas Lake nature trail, which includes wetland ecosystems such as the flooded Black Alder swamp forest, the Vēršupīte River, and mature pine and spruce forests.
Note that the swamp forest is fully flooded mainly during high water seasons in spring (April and May) and late autumn (September and October). At other times from April to October, the area remains lush and green.
