Description

In case of not enough snow: walking tour at the same place in stead of cross-country skiing. First we will get the cross-country rental equipment: - ski's: traditional longer ones or new shorter ones? - ski shoes - ski poles Please take your own gloves,scarf,winter cap,... But no need for special trousers I believe. :-) Then we will ski a few hours in the nice blue mountains landscape , only about 45 minutes from Riga. Time to take a nice picture at the lake or climb the tower. On the way back we will visit the continious beating heart memorial: a place with gigantic statues and outside area as well as an inside part where you will learn about the former prison camp.
